TMG at influential Westminster meeting

Our Managing Director Malcolm W Parrott and Business Development Manager Kevin Hawes attended the latest All Party Parliamentary Ports & Maritime Group meeting in the Houses of Parliament at Westminster yesterday evening with Tony Birr of our Joint Venture Partner State 21.

It included a presentation from The MCA about reinvigorating UKSR. Tony and Malcolm have previously presented to the Group about the pressing issue of coastal security around the UK.

Many thanks to Tony for the picture.

Our presentation to the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Maritime and Ports was a tremendous success yesterday.

We raised the very pressing question ‘How secure is our coastline?’ to Lords and MPs at the Houses of Parliament. Nearly 50 attendees from a variety of organisations and businesses packed the committee room for the hearing.

Our presentation by TMG managing director Malcolm Parrott and Tony Birr, business director of our joint venture partners State 21, triggered a very interesting debate.

Admiral Lord West, a former First Sea Lord, was among those who spoke of the need for a centralised capability of command and control on the basis of centralised intelligence.

Others in attendance included Lord Wrigglesworth, Jim Fitzpatrick MP, James Gray MP and the Earl of Cork and Orrery.

The TMG delegation  included Joint Venture Partner and MD of State 21 Richard Rowland and Joanna Parrott from TMG.

The Maritime Group (International) Limited and Joint Venture partner, State21 Limited will jointly be appearing on Monday 5th December 2016, in front of members of both houses of Parliament  at the Palace of Westminster with a presentation on ‘How secure is our coastline? A collective approach’.

Further details to follow.
