TMG contracted to carry out STAG in Shetland Islands

untitled_TMG joins partners Peter Brett Associates LLP and Beckett Rankine Limited plus others to carry out a comprehensive study on the ports, harbors, airports, ferry services, air services, ships and airplanes for the Shetland Island Council in the offshore islands of Shetland north of Scotland. Initially the study will complete stages 1 & 2 by end of February 2016 and will then move to stage 3 to be completed by end July 2016.

TMG are pleased to announce that they have been contracted by Serco Limited of London to assist in their bid for the Clyde and Hebrides Ferry services (CHFS) contract, currently operated by David MacBrayne Limited of Glasgow under the trading name of CalMac Ferries. The Contract will be awarded in Spring 2016 with a start-up date of 1st October 2016.

TMG will be involved professionally in a large part of the bid team and concentrate of ships and harbours; though will assist with other parts of the bid as needed. Transport Scotland has issued a draft Invitation to Tender to two bidders; the incumbent company David MacBrayne Limited and Serco Caledonian Ferries Ltd of Glasgow.

CalMac Ferries currently operate 32 ferries owned by CMAL (Caledonian Marine Assets Limited, a wholly owned Scottish Government company) on some 22 routes to approximately 50 ports.
